Description
Characteristics and tasting notes for the 2025 Reuilly from Domaine Dyckerhoff
Tasting
Appearance
The wine reveals a pale straw yellow hue, enhanced by delicate green highlights and beautiful clarity.
Nose
Fresh and expressive, the nose releases vibrant citrus aromas such as grapefruit and lemon, harmoniously interwoven with notes of white flowers, green apple and freshly cut grass.
Palate
The palate offers a crisp texture and medium body, carried by lively acidity. It unfolds flavours of lime, green apple and subtle hints of white peach. A refined minerality and a touch of salinity add complexity, leading into a long, clean and refreshing finish.
Food and wine pairings
This white wine pairs beautifully with seafood, particularly oysters, grilled prawns or ceviche. It also enhances cheeses such as goat's cheese or feta, as well as dishes based on spring vegetables such as asparagus or courgettes.
Serving and cellaring
For optimal tasting, it is recommended to serve this 2025 Reuilly at a temperature between 11 and 12°C. This wine reveals its full potential in its youth and should be enjoyed until approximately 2028.
The freshness and minerality of a white Reuilly by Domaine Dyckerhoff
The estate
Located in the Cher department, at the heart of the Loire Valley in France, Domaine Dyckerhoff is a family-run property whose commercial production began in 2004. Today led by its founders, Christian and Bénédicte Dyckerhoff, the estate has quickly established itself as a leading ambassador of its appellation. Drawing on an Alsatian winegrowing heritage and a deep local agricultural knowledge, the couple cultivates their land with passion. Certified Haute Valeur Environnementale, the estate stands out for its commitment to sustainable viticulture, producing wines that faithfully reflect the identity of their terroir.
The vineyard
This Reuilly wine comes from a vineyard covering 6 to 8 hectares, planted on soils composed of Kimmeridgian limestone, clays, gravelly sands and marls. The vines, with an average age of 15 years, benefit from a cool climate and farming practices certified Haute Valeur Environnementale, promoting biodiversity and controlled yields to ensure optimal grape quality.
The vintage
The year was marked by warm and dry growing conditions, ensuring a very low risk of disease and healthy fruit development. While the young vines experienced some mild water stress, the cool nights typical of the region helped preserve fine acidity. These favourable weather conditions led to an early and swift harvest.
Winemaking and ageing
The making of this 2025 Reuilly begins with cold maceration and gentle pressing. Fermentation then takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, without any passage in oak barrels, in order to preserve all the freshness and aromatic brightness of the fruit.
Grape variety
100% Sauvignon Blanc.
