The vibrancy and velvety touch of a Burgundy Premier Cru

The estate
The Louis Latour estate, founded over two centuries ago, is an emblematic figure of Burgundy winegrowing. It spans 50 hectares, a significant portion of which is classified as Premier and Grand Cru, from the Côte de Beaune to the Côte de Nuits. Still independent, it combines family tradition, innovation, and environmental respect, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture since 1996. The house also has its own cooperage, ensuring complete control over barrel aging.

The vineyard
The “Les Charmes” plot, located within the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, lies on poor limestone soil. This historic climat, once low in fertility and sparsely vegetated, owes its name to its arid appearance. This terroir brings finesse and depth to the wines, in a delicate and quintessentially Burgundian style.

Winemaking and aging
Fermentation follows the traditional method in open vats, followed by 10 to 12 months of aging in French oak barrels from the estate’s cooperage, 40% of which are new. This meticulous care gives the wine an elegant structure and great aromatic complexity.

Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir
