Decanter

Brooding nose, less obviously opulent than Chapelle, and more closed. Very rich and sumptuous palate with suave tannins and great breadth of fruit. Massive without being heavy or extracted, and the tannins are already well integrated. Long, velvety finish.

Sweet oak scent, black cherry and generous spice. Crunchy palate, plenty of tannin to make old bones. Not sure if there is sufficient flavour complexity to last quite as long, though. (RH)
