As the wines approach their first decade in bottle, you can see an evolution in the flavours. Here, there are flaked almonds and grilled stone fruits, soft but very elegant. It has a lovely rich texture and a silky feel through the palate. A window into how this wine ages.

Creamy, currently stinky, may well blossom in middle age. But the price for the 2010 seems rather high when one thinks of all the other wines a bit like this made around the world. (JR)

Fresh citrus, floral, grapefruit, white peach and vanilla aromas open to a fresh, bright wine filled with lemon and lime, offering a crisp, refreshing citrus-driven finish.

Intense and precise nose, very pure with mineral notes, ripe citrus, stone fruit, herbs, and a full-bodied palate with juicy fruit, bright freshness, and a really long, persistent finish; finely tuned and complex, with fine oak and balance. Really good!

Pichler in the base aromatics, it’s perfectly appropriate to use the term Wachauer-Marille here to describe the fruit.

It doesn’t have the pep or the style of the classic Malartic wines, but it remains very harmonious and perfectly crafted. The nose is very ripe, smoky, and expressive; the palate is broad, warm, and extremely aromatic, with rather discreet freshness.

A lovely complexity emerges from this broad, oaky, rich, suave wine; a very fine Sauvignon for now, with a slightly tense finish. It will need two or three years to fully express its fine potential.

Pale color with green highlights. Moderately aromatic nose, with ripe, vanilla-toned fruit, slightly stewed, and a hint of anise. The palate shows far less drive than the one tasted En Primeur, even though the wine is very pleasant. A slightly tannic touch lingers on the finish.

95-97. Barrel sample. This wine is rich with flavors of tropical fruit and citrus, with judicious wood aging and fine concentration.
