The estate
The Domaine du Château de Meursault, whose present château took shape over the centuries from medieval origins dating back to the 11th century, is today a 67-hectare estate located in Burgundy, on the Côte de Beaune. Farmed entirely organically since the 2022 vintage, it has been owned by the Halley family since late 2012, with Olivier Halley overseeing the vineyard and wine tourism activities and Emmanuel Escutenaire in charge of the cellar. The estate is distinguished by its 3,500 m² Cistercian cellars and its strong environmental commitment.
The vineyard
The Beaune 1er Cru "Fèves" cuvée comes from a 61-are parcel in the commune of Beaune, mid-slope with a full southern exposure. The soils are clay-limestone mixed with gravel and sand, a combination that favours both the concentration and the finesse of the Pinot Noir. The vineyard is farmed organically, as part of the estate's overall environmental approach.
The vintage
The 2025 vintage is currently ageing, and the wine is offered en primeur.
Winemaking and ageing
The winemaking of the Beaune 1er Cru "Fèves" 2025 follows the estate's philosophy, based on a precise approach that respects freshness, fruit and the identity of each parcel. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels, combining a proportion of new oak with older barrels, in order to provide structure and aromatic support without masking the purity of the fruit or the mineral nuances of the terroir.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
