Domaine du Château de Meursault : Volnay 1er cru "Clos des Chênes" 2017

A very structured, full-bodied Volnay, with tannins that remain velvety. Notes of dark fruit and forest floor, from a terroir that shows a more masculine expression of the appellation.

The nose is very peppery, with notes of peony and red cherry. The palate is very concentrated, structured by supple tannins and remarkably persistent. The touch of warmth on the finish will fade after a few years of ageing and help the wine reach the full extent of its ageing potential.
