The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has turned out well, mingling aromas of pear and white flowers with hints of almond and beeswax. Full-bodied, layered and textural, it's rich and fleshy, with lively balancing acids.

The aromas of hot stones in the vineyard really highlight dried apples and citrus, with flint and straw, leading to a full body with a tight palate and a reserved finish. It needs time to open and show its greatness. Give it three to four years to open.
