Born in an Art Nouveau building in the 16th arrondissement and now one of the leading cocktail bars in Paris, Cravan is today bottling its expertise. Three great mixology classics, revisited with rare precision.
Three mixology classics to enjoy
Negroni: an iconic cocktail crafted to measure
A London Dry Gin created exclusively for Maison Cravan, paired in equal measure with a dry vermouth: this is how you reinvent a classic without distorting it. This Negroni is drier and aromatically more taut than the original version, without sacrificing balance. Citrus notes take the lead on the nose, while juniper and freshness then reveal themselves on the palate. To be served neat, well chilled, in a frozen glass.
Boulevardier: when Hennessy cognac reinvents a great classic
The fruit of demanding collaboration between Franck Audoux and Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, Master Blender at Hennessy, this Boulevardier turns away from traditional bourbon to anchor itself in cognac. Hennessy Very Special brings its notes of dried fruits, apricot and vanilla; a wine-based aperitif designed specifically by the House layers in its orange peel notes. The result is particularly delicate and floral.
Old Fashioned: Glenmorangie 12 Years Old as the guiding thread
Built on a Glenmorangie 12 Years Old single malt whisky base, this Old Fashioned by Cravan immediately stands out. A fine orange liqueur from the Alsatian Distillery Nusbaumer and carefully selected bitters complete the composition, aged in bourbon barrels. The nose evokes yellow fruits and spices; the palate, meanwhile, expresses notes of cinnamon, clove and ripe fruits.
Behind every bottle, unique expertise
The genesis of the house: between creativity and technique
In 2018, Franck Audoux (a historian by training and a self-taught mixologist) opened the first Cravan bar. His approach broke with the codes of the traditional Parisian bar from the outset: as rigorously scientific as it is resolutely creative, it sets a demanding signature. Five years later, Moët Hennessy entrusted him with the reins of what would become one of the leading cocktail bars in the capital.
The name was not chosen by chance: Arthur Cravan (1887-1918), poet-boxer, forerunner of Dadaism, a free and irreverent man, embodies the duality that inhabits every recipe.
From bar to bottle, uncompromising precision
Each cocktail is the result of an exchange of expertise between the House and its partners: master distillers, master blenders and the Alsatian Distillery Nusbaumer, with 75 years of experience in the technical development of each recipe. No added flavourings, no colourings, no preservatives: the purity of the ingredients is the absolute rule. To be enjoyed neat, very chilled, in a frozen glass, to rediscover at home all the care that defines the House.
