Weinwisser

Medium garnet with a ruby rim. Intense, heady bouquet with cherry notes and hints of elderberry. On the palate, fine and well-structured, nice mid-palate creaminess, fruit showing a slightly stewed character, finish a bit too grainy with a metallic component.

René Gabriel

Medium garnet with a ruby rim. Intense, heady bouquet with notes of cherry and elderberry. On the palate, fine texture with a lovely mid-palate creaminess; the fruit feels slightly stewed, the finish is a bit too grainy, and unfortunately shows a metallic component.

Jean-Marc Quarin

Jean-Marc Quarin

Dark color, medium intensity, and slightly evolved. Fine nose, fruity, ripe, and a bit firm when swirled. Lovely, aromatic, caressing entry on the palate, and the wine unfolds with a straight, flavorful, taut body, with wrapped tannins on the finish. Medium length. A wine rightly praised by some participants for the pleasure it offers now.

Description

2004 Pauillac Cru Bourgeois, Bordeaux

The Chateau La Fleur Peyrabon cuvee comes from a vineyard of 5 hectares composed of 35 year old vines on average, planted in Pauillac. This 2004 is a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Merlot.

The 2004 Chateau La Fleur Peyrabon richness is marked by a deep purple colour. The bouquet is quite exuberant as it reveals, successively, balsamic notes of wood and heavier aromas of candied fruit. On the palate, the harmony is remarkable with marked yet delicious tannins, pledge to a favourable ageing.
