Nose
Refined and expressive, the nose reveals a beautiful aromatic palette, with notes of peach, pomelo, exotic fruits, redcurrant, and raspberry.
Palate
Broad and precise, the palate combines freshness with aromatic clarity. A mineral, saline backbone lingers with persistence, revealing great complexity and an elegant length.
Food and wine pairings
L’Excellence from Château Saint-Maur pairs ideally with meats (hanger steak, sweetbreads with chanterelle sauce), fish (grilled red mullet, herb-crusted tuna steak), vegetables (zucchini flowers stuffed with Broccio), as well as cheeses and desserts (mozzarella di Bufala, lychee sorbet).

The finesse and vibrancy of a Côtes de Provence rosé wine by Château Saint-Maur
The estate
Roger Zannier, owner for over 25 years of Quinta do Pessegueiro in the Douro, acquired Château Saint-Maur in 2011 with the ambition of making it a benchmark among Côtes de Provence wines. Located just a few kilometers from Saint-Tropez, Château Saint-Maur has held the Cru Classé status since 1955.
The vineyard
The L’Excellence rosé cuvée is a wine from Provence, produced from the Château Saint-Maur vineyard, which spans around one hundred hectares and is planted on a clay-limestone terroir rich in schist and quartz.
Winemaking and aging
The grapes undergo cold maceration at low temperature, then the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
Blend
L'Excellence 2025 from Château Saint-Maur is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Rolle, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, and Tibouren.
