An IGP Var white wine combining elegance and aromatic richness
The estate
Built under Napoleon III, Château Minuty was acquired in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet, who set about restoring its original luster. In 1955, the estate joined the select circle of the 23 Crus Classés de Provence, before crossing paths with Monique and Etienne Matton, whose commitment raised Minuty to the finest tables of the French Riviera. Today, Jean-Etienne and François Matton carry on the family legacy while bringing a touch of modernity to the estate.
The vineyard
A birthplace of great wines, the 160-hectare vineyard stretches across the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Located on the hillsides of Gassin and Ramatuelle, the vines benefit from a Mediterranean climate, while sea breezes preserve the health of the grapes all year round. The mosaic of soils, between schist and limestone, makes it possible to plant each grape variety where it thrives best. Farmed using sustainable viticulture, the vineyard develops in a protected environment with abundant biodiversity. To ensure consistent quality, massal selection is carried out within a collection of grenache vines averaging 30 years of age.
The wine
From the IGP Var, Blanc et Or comes from an original blend of aromatic grape varieties, including rolle, a traditional Provence grape. The result is a cuvée with a harmonious signature, offering lovely richness and subtle aromas.
Blend
Sauvignon Blanc, rolle and Viognier.
