Laurent-Perrier : Cuvée Rosé

A very good, solid rosé Champagne that's well balanced and tangy in texture, with light cherry and citrus flavors that linger on the finish. Drink now.

What a gorgeous copper-salmon color, and fine, fierce bubbles. The aroma has incredible finesse, showing toast, toffee, bread, strawberry, lime, and smoke notes. Tastes smooth and silky fine, with a brilliant mouthfeel, very dry, with delicate strawberry fruit. A remarkably beautiful wine that finishes slightly bitter, with some tannins.

Vanilla, sweet strawberry tart, dried red fruits, orange peel, quince and toasted nuts. Sourdough palate with a savoury, supple mousse.

Shows a linear line of crisp acidity and vivid fruit of dried strawberries and orange peel. Full-bodied, tight and focused with a bright finish. Fruity yet vivid. Commanding. Drink now.

Pale salmon-pink color. Sweet aromas of strawberry and earth. Frothy and ripe, with accessible flavors of strawberry, raspberry and earth. A bit aggressive but not heavy or crude. Quite similar in style and quality to last year’s bottle.

Medium-bright salmon pink with silver reflections and a fine, persistent mousse. Red-berry bouquet with nuances of cassis and liquorice, with some candied mandarin zest and herbal savouriness in the background. The palate is complex, almost opulent, with a ripe, sweet fruit core of preserved cherries and strawberries. The taut minerality provides precision and very good length. (PM).

The NV Champagne La Cuvée Brut Rosé is entirely Pinot Noir from 10 crus in the Montagne de Reims. It is forward in the glass with ripe currants, fresh herbs, and smoky perfume. This continues to the palate, with notes of ripe wild raspberry and tangerine, and it has a medium- to full-bodied texture that is pure and lightly savory on the finish. Fantastically paired with beef tartar and other richer raw preparations, this is a wonderful and food-friendly expression. Drink 2022-2032.

Cuvée Rosé NV is a 100% Pinot Noir saignée rosé that achieves its salmon-pink color from a 48–72 hour maceration prior to crushing and fermenting as a rosé wine. The resulting wine boasts savory red-fruit aromas, a medium-bodied, creamy palate with ripe black-fruit concentration, soft acidity with a touch of chalk dust and a slight tannic grip on the finish, along with a hint of bitterness.

A beautiful, intensely rosé colour; the nose opens on a basket of red fruits with a few floral nuances. The whole is charming for its fruit. The juice is nice and fleshy with decent substance, overall coherent without reaching great complexity.
