The estate

Founded in Reims in 1776, the Champagne House of Champagne Louis Roederer has remained family-owned and independent. After more than 200 years, Louis Roederer is still in the hands of the same family. Now led by Frédéric Rouzaud, the seventh generation of the family, the House embodies the excellence of Champagne wines around the world through cuvées crafted like works of art.

The vineyard

With nearly 241 hectares of vines, Louis Roederer draws its strength from its extraordinary vineyard, made up exclusively of Grands and Premiers Crus in the Vallée de la Marne, the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. A true mosaic of terroirs, the House's vineyard is divided into 410 plots, which reflect the full diversity of the soils of Champagne.

This gift box brings together three singular expressions of the Roederer style:

Blanc de Blancs 2019

Made from 100% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, this vintage Champagne seduces with its pale yellow colour with green highlights and its fine, persistent bubbles. The nose, delicate and complex, blends white flowers, citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits and a characteristic chalky minerality, enhanced by notes of brioche and toasted almond. On the palate, the texture is creamy and precise, carried by wonderful tension and a distinctive salinity, leading to a long, fresh finish.

The 2019 vintage, marked by a mild spring and a sunny summer, gave the grapes optimal ripeness. Partial vinification in oak foudres and extended ageing on the lees brought structure, complexity and richness, without ever altering the mineral purity that defines this great Blanc de Blancs.

Vintage 2018

A blend dominated by Pinot Noir from Verzy (80%), complemented by Chardonnay from Chouilly (20%), this Champagne expresses the full character of the Premiers and Grands Crus of the "Montagne". Its golden yellow colour is animated by a lively, persistent effervescence. On the nose, it reveals a complex palette of tangy red fruits, blood orange zest and briny notes, before unveiling mineral hints of flint and smoke as it opens up. On the palate, the attack is juicy and crisp, with a slightly tannic texture and a saline, tangy finish, the hallmark of the north-facing slopes of Verzy.

The 2018 vintage, harvested from late August to early September, marks a turning point in the history of the House. The vinification combines partial oak ageing (28%), malolactic fermentation limited to 20% to preserve freshness, and a measured dosage of 7 g/l, ensuring a balance between tension, complexity and roundness.

Rosé Vintage 2017

Born from the clay-limestone terroirs of Cumières, facing due south and naturally tempered by the Marne, this Louis Roederer Vintage Rosé is the fruit of a demanding quest for excellence. Its blend combines 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, crafted using the House's exclusive technique known as "infusion", a gentle maceration ensuring perfect integration of the two grape varieties. Vinified 29% in oak, with partial malolactic fermentation and a measured dosage of 8 g/l, this 2017 vintage reveals all the mastery and expertise of the House of Roederer.

On tasting, the brilliant pink colour with seductive copper highlights heralds a wine of great finesse. The nose, intense and generous, opens with wild berries and citrus fruits before revealing subtle briny, chocolatey and lightly spiced nuances. On the palate, the attack is round and elegant, carried by a silky texture and concentrated fruit on the mid-palate, which evolves towards a fresh, mineral finish in perfect harmony with the bouquet. A great rosé Champagne, both complex and distinguished.
