Vinum

Blackcurrant, a touch of cola, tobacco, jasmine tea; a supple palate, delicate fruit, fine tannins, elegant, balanced, slightly saline and with good length. It will be enjoyable early on.

Decanter

Dark heady scents on the nose, ripe blackcurrants with some dark chocolate touches. Quite a hands off style with lovely fruit purity and delicacy in terms of tannins and wood. A touch grippy on the finish with some cooling liquorice and stony aspects. Really well balanced and well delivered, harmonious with a lovely supple, bounce. Deep and concentrated but with no heaviness. This is really not trying to be something it can't. Fine delicate, compelling. One of the best EP samples I've tried from this estate. 3.7pH. Ageing 16 months, 30% new barrels, 50% one year, 5% amphora.

Elegant, soft, supple, creamy, sweet, and loaded with silky, polished, black with red fruits, the wine finishes with a refined edge to its ample supple of ripe, cherries, plums, licorice, and cocoa accents. Drink from 2029-2050. 93-95 Pts

Deep, well-developed plum and cassis on the nose, with attractive dark spice, capsicum and olive pit notes. High proportion of Cabernet Franc, with fragrant rose petal and iris aromas, very fruit-forward. Aged in 12hl casks, pH 3.7. Harvested September 3 to 16. 30% new oak, yield 27hl/ha. Sand and gravel soils.

Yves Beck

Delicate floral nuances mingle with blackberry and raspberry notes in the bouquet of Tour Figeac. The slightly creamy character of the attack sets the stage beautifully. The wine follows a precise course and unfolds seamlessly. Velvety tannins work quietly in the background, lending appreciable power, while acidity brings drive and definition to the finish. A pleasant, promising wine.
