Description
Clos des Jacobins 2016: a dense Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Clos des Jacobins is a Grand Cru Classé from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. This red wine comes from an 8-hectare vineyard planted with vines aged 30 years on average. These benefit from soil made up of limestone, clay and calcareous scree. The wine is aged in barrels (75% new). The blend of Clos des Jacobins 2016 consists of 80% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
At tasting, the Clos des Jacobins 2016 develops floral, black fruit (blackberry, blueberry) and vegetal aromas. On the palate, the wine is fleshy, bold, and of great density.
