Tasting
Colour
The wine reveals a lovely pale yellow colour with bright highlights.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with seductive notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and acacia blossom, underscored by a delicate mineral touch and subtle honeyed nuances.
Palate
Full-bodied and generous, the palate seduces with its perfect balance between richness and freshness. The fruity aromas perceived on the nose carry through harmoniously to a persistent, saline finish of great elegance.
Food and wine pairing
This great white wine from the Rhône Valley will beautifully complement fish in sauce, poultry in cream sauce or aged cheeses such as an old Comté.
Service and storage
For optimal enjoyment, this wine is best served between 10 and 12°C. It can be enjoyed now or cellared until 2033 to develop further complexity.
The excellence of a great white terroir from the Rhône
The estate
A true institution of the Rhône Valley, Domaine Coursodon is a historic family estate located in Mauves, the birthplace of the Saint-Joseph appellation. Since the late 19th century, five generations of passionate winemakers have succeeded one another, elevating the estate among the region's most essential references. Now led by Jérôme Coursodon, the estate carries on a tradition of excellence, combining respect for heritage with precision viticulture to create wines of remarkable purity.
The vineyard
Domaine Coursodon's vineyard extends across exceptional terroirs with steep slopes that make mechanisation impossible. The vines dedicated to the "Le Paradis Saint Pierre" cuvée thrive on particularly high-quality granite soils. This unique terroir, bathed in the Rhône sunshine, gives the grapes optimal ripeness while preserving a lovely mineral tension.
The vintage
The year 2023 offered ideal climatic conditions in the region, allowing the white grape varieties to achieve a perfect balance between aromatic richness and vibrant freshness.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo rigorous sorting. Vinification is carried out with great precision to preserve the brilliance of the fruit. Aging takes place in oak barrels, adding complexity and texture to the wine while respecting its mineral identity.
Grape variety
Marsanne (100%).
