A blend of 55% Grenache, with the balance a mix of Mourvèdre and Syrah, Senechaux's 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape is a success from this challenging vintage. Matured in a mix of foudres, older wood and concrete tanks, the nose offers up appealing scents of black cherries, black olives and deep plummy fruit. It's full-bodied, soft and easygoing, marked by hints of licorice on the long finish.

Round and refreshing, the 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers plenty of bang for the buck. Combining licorice with dried herbs, raspberry, black tea and black cherry, the medium- to full-bodied 2021 is enveloped by soft tannins. Concentrated and layered, this is a remarkably refined Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine des Sénéchaux that should drink well right out of the gate.

Fresh, elegant, supple, creamy, refined, and focused on all its purity found in its sweet core of kirsch, raspberry, and strawberry fruits, the wine is medium-bodied, vibrant, and already a pleasure in your glass. The wine is made from 48% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 22% Mourvedre. Drink from 2024–2031.

Another outstanding wine from this address, the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape (55% Grenache, 23% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre) has a beautiful perfume of both red and black fruits as well as pretty floral, spicy, Provençal aromas and flavors. It's silky, elegant, and medium-bodied on the palate, with terrific tannins, all making for a rock-solid, satisfying, graceful 2021 that will evolve nicely through 2031.
