The energy and precision of a gastronomic rosé by Château Giscours

The Estate

Located on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château Giscours is a historic estate of the Margaux appellation, with vines first planted in the 16th century. This superb 3rd Cru Classé of Margaux is a true standard-bearer of the Bordeaux region, with its distinctive neoclassical palace-like architecture, its park of rare tree species and its buildings, including the magnificent "Ferme Suzanne". In 1995, Château Giscours entered a new era in its history following its acquisition by Dutch businessman Éric Albada Jelgersma.

The Vineyard

The Château Giscours vineyard spans 95 hectares of vines in production out of a total of 300 hectares. A true jewel of the Margaux appellation, the distinctive feature of Château Giscours' terroir lies in the presence of 3 ridges of deep Garonne gravel, which play a decisive role in the grape ripening cycle.

The Wine

The Rosé x Giscours comes from a plot historically dedicated to the production of the Grand Vin, located on deep Garonne gravel terroir.

Winemaking and Aging

Grapes are hand-harvested early in the morning, before winemaking involving direct pressing followed by low-temperature fermentation in concrete tanks. Only the first press juices are selected to ensure freshness and preservation of the fruity aromas.

Grape Variety

100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
