In 1982, after some six years of searching for the ideal terroir, Sir Peter Michael and Lady Michael acquired 630 acres of volcanic ridges on the western slope of Mount St. Helena in Knights Valley.

This estate marks the fulfilment of one man's dream. A longtime devotee of Bordeaux and Burgundy wines, Sir Peter Michael was determined from the outset to make his estate a benchmark among the greatest Californian wines.

The Wine

Les Pavots" Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018 from Peter Michael Winery has been produced since 1988. This cuvée, whose name evokes the poppy, a flower emblematic of California, is crafted from vineyards planted on volcanic soils at an altitude of over 420 metres. This great Californian wine is a signature wine of the estate founded by Peter Michael.
