This exceptional Whisky, the fourth chapter in a series of five, celebrates in particular his pioneering work in establishing the traditional malting floors that remain in operation today.

Distilled in 1987, this Single Malt was matured for a masterful 33 years in ex-bourbon American white oak casks, a practice introduced by Hunter himself. It was then finished in first-fill European oak casks that had previously held Oloroso sherry. This dual maturation process, combined with the maritime influence of the Islay coast, gives the spirit remarkable depth, salinity and complexity.

Bottled in 2021, this bottle is a true collector's item. It comes presented in a magnificent book-shaped box documenting the life and contributions of Ian Hunter.
