The estate

Founded in 1859 through the union of the Duval and Leroy houses, this family-owned Champagne estate spans 200 hectares of vineyards in Vertus, in the Côte des Blancs, where Chardonnay from Grand and Premier Cru sites reigns supreme. Under the leadership of Carol Duval-Leroy and her three sons, Julien, Charles and Louis, with Sandrine Logette-Jardin as Cellar Master, Duval-Leroy embodies a visionary spirit: it was the first House to feature the words “premier cru” on its labels, as early as 1911, and a pioneer in ISO 9002 certification.

The Destinations Secrètes case is an invitation to a sensory odyssey through the great terroirs of Champagne. Four villages, four bottles, four territories to explore

The concept is unique: the identity of each wine remains hidden throughout the tasting, so that the colour, aromas, texture and length on the palate can freely guide the wine lover before anything is revealed. A back label, concealed on the reverse of the bottle, reveals the village, the cru, the vintage and the style.

This gift box brings together two Blancs de Blancs (100% Chardonnay), synonymous with freshness, minerality and elegance, and two Blancs de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir), offering structure, depth and character.

Clos des Bouveries 2002 — Blanc de Blancs (Vertus, Côte des Blancs)
At the foot of the Côte des Blancs, Vertus boasts deep chalky soils that give Chardonnay exceptional finesse and minerality. The Clos des Bouveries, a rare and carefully preserved plot, is its most accomplished expression. Born of a sun-drenched, universally acclaimed vintage, this Champagne seduces with an indulgent nose of roasted notes, almonds and fresh hazelnuts. The palate is silky and caressing, leading to a broad, lingering finish of great elegance.

Aÿ 2009 — Blanc de Noirs - Grand Cru (Vallée de la Marne)
A legendary village whose reputation has endured for centuries, Aÿ enjoys an ideal exposure and clay-limestone soils that give Pinot Noir an inimitable depth, structure and sensuality, the exclusive signature of this Grand Cru. The generous 2009 vintage reveals the full velvety power of Grand Cru Pinot Noir, with an expressive nose blending sweet spices, red fruit and well-integrated oak. The palate is fleshy and structured, leading to a long, deep finish with mineral accents.

Cramant 2009 — Blanc de Blancs - Grand Cru (Côte des Blancs)
Cramant is a worldwide benchmark for exceptional Chardonnay, grown on deep chalk that gives it crystalline minerality and an almost chiselled precision, the hallmark of this iconic Grand Cru. A pure reflection of the crystalline minerality of the Côte des Blancs, this Blanc de Blancs Champagne reveals a delicate nose of toasted hazelnuts and subtle roasted notes. Fine and precise on the attack, the palate opens up into an enveloping vinosity before a fresh finish of great mineral nobility.

Cumières 2008 — Blanc de Noirs - Premier Cru (Vallée de la Marne)
Nestled in the Vallée de la Marne, facing the river, Cumières is a little-known terroir of real character, where Pinot Noir expresses a frank, generous personality, shaped by silty and clay-limestone soils with fresh, distinctive influences. Born of a vintage of rigour and precision, this Blanc de Noirs displays an assertive character, with a captivating nose of dried fig, honey and dried fruit. The palate is powerful and fleshy, underpinned by lovely vibrancy, leading to a long, vinous finish of remarkable persistence.
