Château Couhins-Lurton 2022

What a perfume, intoxicating, clear fruit, great depth, citrus, roasted notes, white flowers, honeydew melon; rich palate, opulent, creamy texture, highly elegant, floating weightlessly, energy, spice, nerve, length, very saline on the finish. Stunningly beautiful.

Fresh and lively, the 2022 Blanc from Couhins-Lurton exhibits aromas of lemon, grapefruit, spring flowers and ripe pear, followed by a moderately weighted, round and juicy palate with a lively, energetic mid-palate and a long, mouthwatering, floral finish. It's entirely crafted from Sauvignon Blanc.

This has a lot to offer, with juicy acidity carrying a delicious set of white peach, lemon peel, quinine and verbena notes. A subtle sel gris note adds spine and tension on the finish. Drink now through 2032. 300 cases made, 50 cases imported.

This flavorful, layered white has flavors of white grapefruit, guavas, salted almonds and nougat. It’s medium- to full-bodied, long and concentrated, with spice and nut complexity to the tropical fruit. Drink or hold.

Pale straw yellow colour, silver reflections. Fresh lime zest, white tropical fruits, a hint of tangerine, mineral touch. Juicy, taut, white apples, lively acidity, delicate sweetness on the finish, lingers long, salty and animating, with good ageing potential. (1/2025, PM).

Based on 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2022 Château Couhins-Lurton Blanc is juicy and bright, with lemon, minty herbs, and sappy floral notes. Medium-bodied, it has good acidity, purity, and a refreshing, vibrant profile.

A little more exotic fruits than in some vintages of this wine, packed full of poise, finesse, and sheer flavour. Juicy white peach, mango, graphite, licorice root, pink apple. Great stuff.

Right from the start, the bouquet of Couhins-Lurton shows depth and diversity. Its many nuances highlight the complexity through aromas of acacia blossom, lemon zest, anise, pears and quinces, among others. There is plenty to discover and, above all, great subtlety. Dense and slightly saline on the attack, the wine is harmonious, creamy, and well supported by its structure. This ensures a mouthwatering touch, while a fine austerity drives the energy and persistence of the finish. A wine of character that rises above the vintage. A fine success.

A highly refined nose combining elegant aromas of linden blossom, verbena, and a subtle minerality reminiscent of flint. On the palate, the balance is remarkable: juicy delicacy lifted by a saline touch and a texture that marries finesse with chew. A hint of honey rounds it all out.

This Graves classed growth wine is rich and wood aged. With toast and apple aromas and dense white fruits, the wine is full-bodied with an almond and spice background. Drink the wine from 2026.
