The estate
Located in the high-altitude village of Ponte Leccia, Clos Venturi is one of the most recent estates in Corse, born in the early 2000s from the parceling out of the best terroirs of the Vico estate, another property of Jean-Marc and Manu Venturi.
The vineyard
This estate in Corse oversees a vineyard of about twenty hectares.
The wine
"1769" is a a Corse white wine from a south/southeast-facing terroir, located at the bottom of the slope and resting on soils composed of sandstone.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested, the grapes are 100% destemmed before skin maceration. Pneumatic pressing then fermentation in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts. Aging lasts 6 months on fine lees in concrete tanks, with manual lees stirring and natural clarification.
