A lively and well-structured Corsican white wine
The estate
Located in the high-altitude village of Ponte Leccia, the Clos Venturi is one of Corsica’s newest estates, born in the early 2000s from the subdivision of the finest terroirs of Domaine Vico, another property of Jean-Marc and Manu Venturi.
The vineyard
This Corse estate oversees a vineyard of around twenty hectares.
The wine
This white wine, whose IP designation reflects its extended aging, is produced from vines planted on sandstone soils, facing south/southeast at the foot of the slopes.
Vinification and aging
Hand-harvested, the grapes are destemmed before a maceration of about 48–72 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 14 months in concrete vats, then 10 months in stainless steel tanks.
