Domaine Albert Mann : Gewurztraminer 2024

The 2024 Gewurztraminer is made from the Wineck-Schlossberg and all of the Gewurztraminer of Grand Cru Furstentum, which was not made in 2024. It is the first dry Gewurztraminer they have made in 20 years. Subtle peach skin, orange peel and a few rose petals are restrained but fragrant on the nose. The next whiff brings even more citrus notions that carry all their brightness, freshness and tongue-tingling nature onto the palate. This is so concentrated, so zesty and yet has this inner richness of Gewurz. The palate rings with citrus, too. Not at all what you may expect, but all the more thrilling for it. The varietal generosity is all there but totally clothed in lemon. (Dry)
