The estate

The history of Domaine Poisot Père & Fils dates back to 1902, when Marie Poisot inherited half of her father Louis Latour's vineyard, while the other half, passed to her brother, became the heart of the eponymous House. Her vines, soon divided among six children, were notably passed to Pierre, who served as head of cultivation at Louis Latour until his death in 1937. His wife, Yvonne, held the usufruct rights before the parcels were finally distributed in 1979 to their three children: Maurice, Henri, and France. Long managed through tenant farming or sharecropping, the vines returned to Maurice in 1986, then passed in 2010 to his son Rémi, in the same spirit of tradition and excellence. Of the original estate, only Maurice's and France's holdings remain today, as Henri's were sold in 1990.
