Domaine René Bouvier : Charmes-Chambertin Grand cru 2015

A full-bodied, round and long red Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru

Produced from a plot of 30 ares in the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru appellation, the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine René Bouvier is a red wine made from Pinot Noir. With an average age of 60 years, the organically farmed vines are planted on a predominantly limestone terroir, with gravel mixed with clay, stones and silt. The wine is aged in oak barrels (50% of them new) for 18 months. 

The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2015 from Domaine René Bouvier displays a magnificent red colour. The nose offers scents of violet, liquorice, vanilla, coffee bean and quince. The palate is elegant, structured, subtly viscous and lively. Dense, the tannins lend great finesse. The wine is full-bodied, round and extremely long. It boasts a fantastic texture, velvety and of great density. The finish is flavoursome and the aromas are intensely persistent.
