E. Guigal : Crozes-Hermitage 2022

Floral and elegant, the 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is a lovely wine, revealing a gourmand, fruity bouquet of white fruits, pear, apricot and almonds. Medium- to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, it’s textural and has a fleshy core of fruit framed by bright acids, concluding with a penetrating, long finish. This is a classic.

The 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc opens with lively lemon flesh and yellow apple alongside toast and melon shadings. Crisp and medium-bodied, the 2022 hits the palate with good concentration and moderate levels of gentle acidity. Coming in slightly below the quality achieved in 2020, I still prefer this over the 2021.
