Louis Jadot : Beaune 1er cru "Clos des Ursules" Monopole Héritiers Louis Jadot 2017

Clos des Ursules is a walled vineyard within the Vignes Franches Premier Cru on the southern side of Beaune, and it has been part of the Jadot estate since 1826. It’s very much a limestone-driven style with plenty of acidity and minerality, joined by sappy, floral redcurrant, red cherry and pomegranate flavours, all framed by oak.

Very beautiful aromas of strawberries, flowers and stones. Medium- to full-bodied, with firm, chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Shows lovely, linear brightness and texture. Drink in 2023.

It is made up with its oak, and its juicy, dense mid-palate firms up on the finish.
