Nose
Opulent and velvety, the bouquet brings exotic fruits (passion fruit, lychee, mango) to the fore, highlighted by red fruits (grape, blackberry). Notes of undergrowth (dead leaves, porcini) and a hint of prune add depth. Spicy touches (cinnamon), a light malty bitterness, as well as floral (white flowers) and woody nuances enrich the whole, carried by a delicate peaty smoke.

Palate
A full-bodied attack with generous peat, lively and bright with freshness, topped with a peppery edge. The profile evolves toward honeyed, waxy nuances and gains roundness. Toasted bread, rusks, malty notes (barley porridge) and juicy fruit (mirabelle plum, damson) give structure to the palate. Vanilla, cocoa and a delicate smoke complete the ensemble. The long finish brings the malt note back to the forefront, enlivened by gentian, mint, eucalyptus and sage. The character remains both tropical (passion fruit) and candied (plum), gradually wrapped in caramel of butter and Bourbon vanilla.

Founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto in Saitama Prefecture, the Chichibu distillery embodies the excellence of artisanal Japanese whisky. Owned by Venture Whisky Ltd. and run by its founder, it stands out for small-scale production and an innovative approach to cask finishes. Nestled at the foot of the Okuchichibu Mountains, Chichibu benefits from an exceptional terroir and pure water from Mount Kobushi. A Limited Edition between Paris and Tokyo

Since 2018, the Chichibu distillery has been creating a blend dedicated to the French capital. This Paris Edition 2025 celebrates the special connection between Paris and Tokyo, drawing parallels between their respective neighborhoods. This demanding blend brings together whiskies of different ages (5 to 14 years) from a wide range of casks: four casks of new French oak, one sherry cask of Spanish oak, three French oak casks that previously held red Bordeaux wine, one American oak hogshead, six Bourbon Barrels, as well as two Bourbon Barrels that held heavily peated whisky. This diversity of casks gives the whisky an exceptional aromatic depth.

Presented in a gift box, this 70-cl single malt embodies the pop, vibrant visual identity of the Paris Edition series, inspired by Japanese Kawaii aesthetics and postage stamps, with six different labels celebrating the cultural bridges between the two metropolises.
