Tasting
Appearance
This whisky displays a golden color with reddish highlights.
Nose
The bouquet reveals a rich, indulgent aromatic palette. Notes of chocolate, honey, and caramel intertwine harmoniously with aromas of brown sugar over a crisp crème brûlée. With a few drops of water, notes of caramelized apricots, hazelnuts, and quintessential sherry aromas emerge.
Palate
The attack is smooth and full, revealing sherry-tinged raisins, orange segments, walnuts, and caramel. The whole is spicy, rich, and complex, with an elegant, full-bodied texture that coats the palate beautifully. Its long finish, with accents of spiced orange and chocolate-covered hazelnuts, makes it the perfect companion for moments of contemplation.

A Highland Scotch whisky with exceptional double maturation
Glenmorangie, the excellence of the Scottish Highlands
Founded in 1843 by William Matheson in Tain, in the Scottish Highlands, Glenmorangie is an iconic distillery that has belonged to the French group LVMH since 2004. This distillery stands out for its 5.14-meter stills, the tallest in Scotland, which produce a distillate of exceptional purity. A pioneer in wine-cask finishing, Glenmorangie uses exclusively American oak for a maximum of two fills. Its Gaelic name means “Small Valley of Profound Tranquility,” perfectly reflecting the excellence of its single malts with fruity profiles and complex aromas.
The Lasanta, the art of mastering double maturation
The Lasanta 12 Years Old perfectly illustrates Glenmorangie’s expertise in finishing. This single malt matures for 10 years in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon, followed by two years of finishing in Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Its name “Lasanta” means “sweetness” and “passion” in Gaelic, perfectly evoking the warm character of this whisky.
