Founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy, an Irish military officer in the service of King Louis XV, the Hennessy House has established itself as an essential global benchmark in the Cognac region. Crafting its eaux-de-vie from grape varieties such as Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grown on chalky soils, the estate carries on an age-old expertise. Double distillation in copper Charentais stills and meticulous ageing are now overseen by Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, the eighth generation of Master Blenders within the family. Currently part of the LVMH group (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), Hennessy accounts for over 40% of the global cognac market. The brand brilliantly combines respect for its historic traditions, initiated with the creation of the V.S.O.P in 1817, with a resolutely modern and sustainable vision of its production.

The cognac at the heart of this gift set is the result of a meticulous blend of around forty eaux-de-vie selected for their liveliness. Aged between 2 and 10 years, these eaux-de-vie mature exclusively in new French oak barrels, sourced from the Tronçais and Limousin forests. This maturation choice gives this Cognac its frank character and its distinctive toasted notes.

Hennessy Ginger Cocktail

The peppery aromas of ginger ale enhance the spicy notes of Hennessy Very Special cognac.

Ingredients:

·        40 ml of Hennessy Very Special cognac
·        100 ml of ginger ale
·        1 slice of lime

Garnishes:

·        Slice of lime
·        Optional: slice of candied ginger

Recipe:

·        Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, then add the Hennessy cognac, ginger ale and lime zest
·        Stir and garnish with a slice of lime and/or a slice of candied ginger
