Appearance
This 17-year-old Scottish single malt displays a deep amber hue, reflecting its complex maturation in various cask types.
Nose
The bouquet reveals a lively orchard character with notes of Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon and delicate floral touches of rose water in the olfactory finish.
Palate
On the palate, the attack reveals rich butter caramel accompanied by red apples and tarte Tatin. Next come dark cocoa, red licorice, sweet wood spices, cardamom, Seville oranges and notes of green tea.
Pairings and Tasting Occasions
This Highland whisky is ideally enjoyed neat at room temperature to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity. Its finish of dried apricots, fully ripe blackberries, freshly baked brioche and sweet, lingering cassia bark makes it a perfect companion for a contemplative tasting at the end of a meal.

The Dalmore, a Scottish Highland distillery, was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson on the shores of the Cromarty Firth in Alness. In 1867, the Mackenzie family took over the operation for nearly a century. Today owned by the Whyte & MacKay group, the distillery boasts eight stills, giving it an exceptional production capacity. The Dalmore is distinguished by its legendary twelve-pointed stag emblem, an inheritance of a 13th-century legend in which Colin of Kintail saved King Alexander III of Scotland from a charging stag, and its specialization in ultra-aged whiskies reaching 50 or 62 years of age.
