The Estate
Created in 2005 by Yves Leccia and his wife Sandrine, this Corsican estate covers 15 hectares between the lieux-dits E Croce and Partinelone in Patrimonio. A former member of the polyphonic group A Filetta, Yves Leccia comes from a family of winemakers established in Patrimonio for several generations. A pioneer of organic farming in Corsica, he favors traditional Corsican grape varieties while rehabilitating forgotten varieties such as biancu gentile.
The Vineyard
This cuvée, produced in IGP Île de Beauté, comes from the lieu-dit Partinelone in Poggio d'Oletta. The vineyard rests on clay-limestone soils over a schistous bedrock. The vines are farmed according to organic principles, with traditional soil cultivation and organic amendments.
Winemaking and Aging
Manual harvesting allows a rigorous selection of healthy and ripe bunches. Whole-bunch pressing is followed by cold settling at 8°C for 24 hours. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 18°C for 15 to 20 days, without malolactic fermentation. Aging then occurs for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Blend
Vermentinu (60%) and biancu gentile (40%), two traditional Corsican grape varieties that fully express the character of the island terroir.
