The estate
Caves D'Esclans is a négociant-éleveur operation founded by Bordeaux native Sacha Lichine, who also owns the renowned Château d'Esclans in the Var. Caves d'Esclans identifies the finest vines and best grapes within Château d'Esclans, while also working with carefully selected local growers. Its aim is to obtain the highest quality grapes and wines regardless of its sourcing (growers or estate-owned). To this end, close, privileged relationships have been built with highly committed winegrowers, fulfilling the promise of supplying grapes from vines farmed with the same high standards as those set since 2006 by Château d'Esclans.
The vineyard
The Côtes de Provence vineyard from which this wine is produced benefits from old Grenache vines that can be up to 90 years old. The region’s outstanding limestone soils give the wines their unique character and elegance.
Winemaking and aging
The Whispering Angel 20th Vintage Limited Edition 2025 harvest is carried out at night to control temperature. The grapes are sorted by hand, then by optical sorting. Made from the finest free-run and press juices, this Provence wine is vinified and aged separately in stainless-steel tanks for 3 months, with regular lees stirring.
Grape varieties
Grenache, cinsault, rolle, syrah.
