Confidences de Prieuré-Lichine 2015

Lush and alluring, featuring warmed fig, boysenberry and blackberry confiture notes gliding through atop a silky but persistent structure. The long finish lets the fruit play out, with only a modest hint of alder checking in. Drink now through 2027. 11,833 cases made.

This was the first vintage made in Prieuré-Lichine’s new cellars, all cement vats, and as a result it’s significantly different to the 2014. More precise and pure aromatics, greater depth of fruit, as well as increased weight and persistence on the palate. The fruit has a creamy edge even though there’s still no oak. A lovely wine that brings a smile to your lips.

A slightly earthy edge to the nose with ripe summer berries below. The palate has impressively smooth, ripe summer berries and a vibrant kick of bright acidity firing the finish along. Best from 2021.
