Cask sample. Brooding, dark nose, with earthy notes, lapsang souchong and earthy meatiness. Juicy texture and lovely freshness underpinned by fine tannins and a sweet liquorice finish. Lovely, long and rounded finish with some toasty oak which is just integrating. (AC)

The 2022 Cairanne Peyre Blanche from Famille Perrin displays ripe darker fruits, peppery garrigue, and a medium-bodied, plush, and easygoing profile with moderate acidity. It's a forward, ready-to-go effort based on 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that will drink nicely for 7-8 years.

Driven, lively and flavorful, this red shows notes of sweet cherries, red berries, warm spices and some charred bark. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Layered with dense fruit character mingling with spices and a textural, powdery and persistent finish. Drink or hold.
