The estate
An internationally renowned oenologist, Xavier Vignon built his reputation by advising more than 200 estates and contributing to the creation of some of the most acclaimed wines in the Rhône Valley, notably in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Starting in 2002, he began creating his own “Xavier” cuvées, blending the finest juice from meticulously selected plots. Free from the constraints of terroir or grape variety, he crafts a style in his own image: direct, contemporary, and backed by outstanding value for money. Thus was born the 100% Xavier signature.
The wine
This Rhône Valley wine is made from grapes selected from more than 40 different plots, located in the coolest areas of the appellation.
Winemaking and aging
Roussanne and Picpoul ferment and are then aged for 6 months in oak barrels. Meanwhile, Clairette and Grenache are vinified at low temperature to best preserve their mineral expression. The aging of most of the blend then takes place in concrete vats and stainless-steel tanks.
Blend
Grenache Blanc (55%), Clairette (20%), Roussanne (15%), Picpoul (10%).
