Vinum

Marked reduction on the nose, pronounced flint, Burgundian, funky; on the palate, drive and crisp fruit, very good acid structure, plenty of verve, not an easy moment to taste this wine, it could gain further with maturation.

Decanter

Medium yellow in colour. Smoky, noble reduction at first, sesame seeds, then ripe yellow fruits and spices on the nose. Juicy, vibrant, with exceptional precision and length. A standout.

84% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Sémillon. Cask sample. Lively and aromatic with a herbal, citrus edge. Fresh and dry on the palate, the finish clean. Already accessible. (JL)

Pineapple, white peach, lemon curd, orange rind, roasted nuts, and green apples show in the perfume. The palate is equally loaded with its sweet, fresh, creamy, ripe fruits, finishing with juicy citrus and pineapples. The wine is produced from 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon. Drink from 2027–2033. 93-93 Pts

Le Figaro Vin

A very beautiful nose, rich and noble, with nuances of flint, matchstick, and warm sand between the toes. The palate is rich and buttery, yet crystalline and radiant, with notes of Amalfi lemon and yellow nectarine, supported by a superbly fresh and elegant structure. The saline edge on the finish triggers intense salivation.

The nose is grilled, toasty, aromatic, and offers a certain complexity. It reveals notes of grilled tones, juicy yellow berries and, more subtly, quince, along with touches of kumquat, hints of ripe small fruits, sweet spices, as well as notes of hazelnut and smokiness. The palate is fresh, mineral, and offers a mineral backbone, some fat, tension, and energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy yellow apple, fleshy pear, and, more subtly, mirabelle, combined with touches of small white fruits, as well as a hint of quenette, smoke, nutmeg, grilled/toasty nuances, and a very discreet, almost iodized note. Good length. A fine tannic edge both in structure and aroma. A delicate, discreet hint of apricot on the finish.

Offers an enticing note of lemon shortbread, along with lemon curd and yellow apple elements. There’s a flash of jasmine through the flattering finish. A crowd-pleaser. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2028. 3,000 cases made, 600 cases imported.

Clear reduction on the opening, fairly rare so far this year, we are checking a new bottle. Second bottle, still this is pretty high on the squeezed in factor, lime zest; this sample is just too reduced. The Gervoson Family

With a touch of reduction, this wine signals greatness and promise. It reveals itself slowly—and rightly so. The reductive nuances share the stage with notes of biscuit, dried herbs, flinty smokiness and grapefruit. On the palate, the wine impresses with its salinity and density. It therefore has breadth, character and ambition. It does not necessarily seek to please; it much prefers to persuade, to lead lovers of this nectar into realms that celebrate what already exists while opening up striking, innovative perspectives. A deep, vibrant, saline and persistent wine. Certainly one of the greatest Larrivet Haut-Brion I have tasted.

Pale yellow color. An intense, refined nose with ripe fruit aromas. A hint of truffle. Precise on the attack, delicate in texture, with an airy, flavorful flow; the wine melts on the palate—very hard to spit out. It’s delicious! Blend: 84% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Sémillon. Alcohol: 13%. Production: 10,000 bottles.
