The estate
Founded in 1859, Maison Jean Chartron is based in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in Puligny-Montrachet. Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure Chartron, the fifth generation of the family, carry on the tradition of excellence of this iconic house. The estate is renowned for its environmentally friendly viticultural practices and its commitment to traditional winemaking, which reveal the purity of Burgundy's terroirs.
The vineyard
This Puligny-Montrachet wine is produced from vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils.
Winemaking and ageing
Vinification took place entirely in oak barrels, 30% of which were new and 70% previously used one to three times. The wine was then aged for 12 months on fine lees, followed by 4 months in stainless steel tanks to refine its profile.
Blend
Chardonnay (100%).
