Description
Characteristics and Tasting Notes of the Prestige de Narcès Extra Brut 2022 Bruno Dangin
Tasting
Colour
The colour reveals a pale golden hue, enhanced by a fine and persistent effervescence.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet reveals a lovely complexity, opening with notes of green apple and biscuit. It then evolves towards indulgent notes of brioche, underscored by a saline minerality reminiscent of wet stone.
Palate
Combining power and maturity, the palate offers a rich, creamy texture perfectly balanced by a vibrant acidity. The long, lively finish extends the delicious brioche and mineral notes.
Food and wine pairing
Ideal as an aperitif, this sparkling wine also pairs wonderfully with delicately prepared poultry, shellfish such as crab or lobster, and fresh fish. When it comes to cheese, it beautifully complements soft, bloomy-rind cheeses such as brie or coulommiers, as well as aged hard cheeses.
Service and storage
The Prestige de Narcès Extra Brut 2022 can be enjoyed now for its immediate freshness, while also possessing the structure needed to develop further complexity over time.
Other characteristics
This wine has an extra brut dosage with residual sugar levels of 8 g/L. Its alcohol content is 12.5%, with total acidity of 5.05 g/L and a pressure of 6 bars.
The elegance and purity of a great Crémant de Bourgogne
The estate
Drawing on a long-standing Champagne family tradition and thirty-five years of experience as an oenologist, Bruno Dangin founded his own estate in 2011. Located in Molesme, in Burgundy, France, the estate spans five hectares of vines cultivated according to organic farming principles. Today, the estate is jointly run by Bruno Dangin and his son Matthieu, who represents the fourth generation of winemakers in the family. Together, they craft high-quality artisanal sparkling wines, celebrated for their authentic expression of terroir.
The vineyard
This Crémant de Bourgogne comes exclusively from the historic plot known as "La Grande Côte", planted in the 1970s. Facing south and south-east for optimal sun exposure, these old vines thrive on clay-limestone soils dating back to the Jurassic period. The vineyard, certified organic since 2014, is cultivated using practices inspired by biodynamics. The grapes are harvested by hand to select only the finest bunches.
Winemaking and aging
The production of the Prestige de Narcès Extra Brut 2022 begins with gentle pressing, of which only the first press, the cuvée, is retained. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts. The wine is then fermented and aged in oak barrels, lending it great finesse. Finally, it undergoes bottle aging on the lees for fifteen months, allowing its aromatic richness to develop fully.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
