Description
Characteristics and tasting notes of Château d'Estoublon 2025
Tasting
Colour
Beautifully clear, this wine displays a pale, luminous pink hue, enhanced by shimmering highlights reminiscent of rosewater, along with subtle nuances of peach and melon.
Nose
Remarkably precise, the bouquet opens with elegant floral notes of jasmine and linden blossom. It then develops into fruity aromas of vine peach, fresh watermelon, strawberry and banana, all lifted by a touch of citrus zest and a fine minerality.
Palate
The attack is lively and full of energy, underpinned by a mineral backbone that lends tension. The palate reveals a lovely balance between the generosity of red fruit, the vibrancy of citrus and a delicate texture. The finish lingers on saline, refreshing notes typical of its terroir.
Food and wine pairing
Ideal with Mediterranean cuisine, this wine pairs beautifully with sea bass carpaccio and grapefruit, roast chicken with preserved lemon, or seafood such as oysters and scallops. It also complements burrata with white peach, goat cheeses or lightly spiced dishes like Thai green curry perfectly.
Service and storage
Thanks to its structure, Château d'Estoublon 2025 has the ageing potential to be enjoyed well beyond its immediate youth.
The elegance and mineral precision of a great Provence rosé
The estate
Founded in 1489, Château d'Estoublon is an iconic name in Provence, France. Nestled in the heart of the Alpilles massif, this estate spans 300 hectares of vineyards and olive groves. Committed to a strong environmental approach through organic viticulture, Château d'Estoublon is renowned for producing great rosé wines, combining an exceptional historical heritage with a modern vision of the art of living.
The vineyard
The vines flourish within the Les Baux de Provence appellation, on secluded inland hillsides. This terroir is distinguished by a mild Mediterranean climate, cooled by the Mistral wind, and complex soils that give the grapes a striking acidity and remarkable minerality.
The vintage
The year was marked by a warm, dry season, encouraging early vine development and a harvest of impeccable health quality. The mild spring protected the flowering period, while summer brought consistent warmth without excessive ripening, balanced by cool nights. These ideal conditions allowed for a concentration of aromas and acidity, resulting in a perfectly balanced harvest.
Winemaking and aging
The making of this 2025 vintage relies on meticulous winemaking techniques designed to preserve the delicacy of its aromas and the subtlety of its diaphanous hue. The technical approach favours a pure expression of terroir and complexity, resulting in a precise, taut structure.
