Description
The generosity and charm of a Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Émilion
The estate
Located on the edge of Pomerol and in the western part of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château La Dominique is one of the most prestigious estates on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. Boldness, precision and generosity are the key words that guide Château La Dominique in crafting its wines.
The vineyard
Managed with sustainable agriculture since its inception, Château La Dominique benefits from a 29-hectare vineyard planted on an exceptional Saint-Émilion terroir, combining brown clay soils with sandy soils over a clay sublayer. The vines average 35 years of age.
Winemaking and ageing
Hand-picking in crates. Vinification in thermo-regulated cone-shaped vats. Ageing for 16 months with 60% in new barrels and 40% in one-wine barrels.
Blend
Merlot (81%), Cabernet Franc (16%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%).
