Château La Gaffelière 1993

94: Medium ruby, lightening. Terroir-driven bouquet, tobacco, animal notes. Juicy, charming palate, wrapped in a creamy texture, fuller-bodied, pleasant finish. 16/20 2000 – 2010

Deep colour, slightly evolved. A pure nose. Notes of fruit, then cedar. The attack is quite broad and, among the previous wines, this one certainly doesn’t lack breadth. It retains its flesh and develops with good balance—quite rich, generous through to the finish. There, it shows a more tannic note, but also a rather sappy, long character. At the table, it will be the one able to stand up to a dish.
