Description
A Saint-Émilion Grand Cru imbued with elegance and finesse
The estate
Established in the 12th century under Aliénor d'Aquitaine, Château Roylland takes its name from "La Lande du Roy", reflecting its royal origins in Saint-Émilion. This Bordeaux estate is located in the Anse de Mazerat near prestigious neighbors such as Angélus and Canon.
The vineyard
With an average age of 25 years, the vineyard flourishes over 5 hectares in the Anse de Mazerat in Saint-Émilion, benefiting from an exceptional terroir composed of clay-loam and clay-sand soils.
Vinification and aging
Maceration for 20 to 24 days in small temperature-controlled concrete vats, without the addition of sulfur. The 12-month aging is divided between 40% new barrels, 25% one-wine barrels, 28% in vats, and 7% in porcelain jars.
Blend
The blend of Château Roylland 2024 consists of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.
