Cordero di Montezemolo : Langhe Nebbiolo 2022

This entry-level red shows a medium dark garnet color with aromas of bright fruit, grilled rosemary and bramble. We get one of our first tastes of Nebbiolo from the upcoming 2022 vintage thanks to this bottle. The unoaked Cordero di Montezemolo 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is fresher and even greener than I would have expected from a vintage that was scorching hot at the top of the season. Some 50,000 bottles are hitting the market now.

Cherry, raspberry and tamarind flavors are the main themes in this taut, compact red, with grace notes of earth and menthol. Chewy tannins dominate the finish. Drink now through 2028. 4,500 cases made.
