Domaine Faiveley : Echezeaux Grand cru "En Orveaux" 2021

Faiveley’s Echézeaux boasts expressive aromas of lush red fruits with floral and spice notes. The texture is fresh and vibrant, and there is enough tannic grip and extract to carry the wine to a superb finish. The grapes come from the domaine-owned 0.83-hectare parcel of south-facing vines on the edge of the combe in the lieu-dit En Orveaux that is next to the portion of La Combe d’Orveaux that is part of Musigny. The grapes are mostly destemmed and gently fermented on ambient yeasts before ageing in cask (60% new).

A suave, supple style, with fine intensity and energy driving the medley of cherry, strawberry, anise, earth and spice aromas and flavors. Turns more sinewy as this builds in intensity and complexity to the long, expansive aftertaste. Best from 2026 through 2045. 17 cases imported.
