A Structured, Tannic Marsannay from Domaine Faiveley
The Estate
Founded in 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley is a family-owned Burgundian estate now run by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, the seventh generation of the family. The estate farms a vineyard of more than 120 hectares spread across the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, including numerous Grands Crus and several monopoles. Committed to environmental responsibility, Faiveley has converted 120 hectares to organic farming, with certification taking effect from the 2025 vintage, making it the largest certified organic estate in Burgundy.
The Vineyard
The Marsannay Village "Es Chezots" comes from a plot of approximately 0.91 hectares, planted in 1970 and 1972 on soils of marl, clay, stones and gravel. Located on the edge of a forest, this plot enjoys a shaded exposure that gives it a later growing cycle, conducive to the expression of a tannic and opulent character. The vines are farmed organically, in keeping with the estate's environmental commitment.
Grape Variety
This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape variety of the Côte de Nuits.
