The authentic, fruit-driven expression of a Bourgogne Côte d'Or

The estate
Officially founded in 1920 in Corpeau, France, this 4-hectare family estate embodies the authenticity of Burgundy. Today, Jean-Charles Fagot is the current owner and runs the estate, representing the fifth generation of his family. Deeply attached to the terroir, he manages the vineyard with a vision that combines tradition and sustainable practices. Alongside his winemaking activity, Jean-Charles Fagot has also founded a renowned inn, bringing together regional gastronomy and wine to offer a complete cultural experience.

The vineyard
Covering 4 hectares spread between Corpeau and Chassagne-Montrachet, this Bourgogne vineyard benefits from an ideal south-east-facing exposure. The vines thrive on complex soils made up of marl and limestone. Vine management follows an integrated pest management approach, keeping interventions to the strict minimum. To preserve the vitality and structure of the soils, some plots are ploughed ecologically using a draught horse.

The vintage
2024 stood out for its mild climatic conditions, which favoured early ripening of the berries. Harvesting began as early as late August and took place under favourable conditions, yielding healthy grapes of remarkable quality for this rare vintage.

Winemaking and ageing
The production of the Bourgogne Côte d'Or "Les Riaux" 2024 is guided by a natural, minimal-intervention philosophy. Fermentation starts spontaneously through the action of indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 12 to 14 months in oak foudres. This choice of vessel allows for slow, measured micro-oxygenation, preserving the full purity of the fruit without imparting dominant oaky notes.

Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
