A Bourgogne Premier Cru white wine of rare finesse and complexity

The Estate

Founded in 1880 in Beaune by Joseph Drouhin, this family-owned Burgundian domaine now covers 73 hectares in Burgundy and has also owned a vineyard in Oregon since 1987. Managed by the Drouhin family, the Joseph Drouhin estate has practiced biodynamic viticulture since the 1990s. This historic négociant house stands out for its dual Burgundy-Oregon identity, combining Burgundian tradition with sustainable innovation.

The Vineyard

The Folatières climat is located in the central part of Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. This parcel benefits from a privileged mid-slope position on marly limestone and flinty soils.

Vinification and Aging

The grapes and musts come from selected partner growers under strict specifications. Manual harvesting is carried out in ventilated crates with meticulous sorting when necessary. Slow pressing of the whole clusters in a pneumatic press separates the final press juices. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in oak barrels with 20 to 25% new wood, followed by 16 to 18 months of aging in high forest French oak.

Grape Variety

100% Chardonnay.
